1. Day 14/365

I’m thankful to God tonight for not giving up on me and for not condemning me the way I sometimes condemn myself. I guess I need to focus less on what’s still wrong with me & concentrate instead on Him who’s the author and the finisher of my faith. Philipians 1:6 says, “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” So, I guess it’s okay that I’m still a work in progress…

  3. Why We Became Teachers: The End of Time

A coworker wrote this in my journal, and it applies to all of us. If you’re a teacher, this is YOU:

“There will come a time when the world is old when He will review the things that we did here. As we stand there in a place where time has no meaning, we will have our names called, one by one. When it’s your turn, out of the sea of faces will come every kid from the dead end of the street, the ones with the dirty faces—all those you took care of—to say the thank-yous they forgot to say because the bell rang. And then we will know why we all became teachers.”

  6. More of my digital art. I took the original photo at the shrine of Francis Xavier Seelos in New Orleans this summer. This statue is in the garden, a very peaceful place.

  7. I can neither rate this memoir highly enough nor write a review to really do it justice, but here’s my attempt.
